Save on your Wedding
With the except of hugely expensive hobbies, cars and houses £1000 is usually a huge amount of money. It could fly you around the world, decorate your home, buy food for two months or buy a fancy new laptop… basically it’s a lot of cash. Here are five very worthwhile ways to try and save £1000
Not everyone feels comfortable bargaining but this simple question can prices magically drop. It very well be their best price but it’s worth the ask
I’m not going to judge what people spend their money on but if you’re buying/renting something because you feel you’re meant to then at least make sure it’s something that people give a sh*t about. If not, cut it out of your budget

It’s obvious that you need to stick to the budget you set but it’s so easy to go over if you don’t decide what your £x is going on… so set a limit for venue, photographer, videographer, flowers, dresses etc etc separate. It will stop you from mentally persuading yourself why the dress is worth it. Every over spend you make in one section comes off all the over parts of your budget

‘Mention the word wedding and everything automatically goes up’ besides this being complete rubbish, they don’t put their hands in your pockets and take the money. Don’t have it, honestly, just don’t buy it. Be a big girl or boy and decide that you don’t need it at your wedding. You can find anything imaginable (yes that’s a link for wedding toothpicks!) for your wedding, so be prepared to say ‘NO, I don’t need a levitating chocolate fountain that plays Ed Sheeran on repeat’

There’s a ton of blogs out there that make it their mission for couples to DIY a ton of stuff on their weddings. If you’re willing to sacrifice the time and effort then you can save a fortune. BUT don’t try and DIY something that’s important to you, leave that to the professionals
