This is how you have a marquee wedding!
Having met with the couple in question a couple of times, there was two things I knew for certain; It was going to be very organised but it was also going to be a bit mad. I’ll let you guess which person is responsible for the aforementioned attributes!
A massive shout out once again to the awesome Hamish Myers. This guy is nothing short of a creative genius and working alongside him is always a pleasure.
Bridal prep and reception were both carried out at their stunning home in Cogenhoe. With a huge marquee in their garden, all was set to be a gorgeous day. Mrs Lindsey-Smart has good taste, she knows exactly what she likes and she isn’t afraid to say it. Her flowers were beautiful, her dresses were stunning and every last detail in their marquee was amazing. Mr Lindsey-Smart works in events, all suppliers were given a detailed list of timings and contacts…this was amazing, I didn’t have to organise anything!!
Their ceremony was at St Peters Church in Cogenhoe, which was genuinely one of the nicest church ceremonies I’ve attended. It featured the insanely talented singing from **, kids with musical instruments and a groom with the biggest smile you could imagine. Mrs Lindsey-Smart arrived on horse back, which as their photographer was a truly unique experience. It was incredible to be part of.
The rest of their day was taken up with hilarious and heart felt speeches, Dad dancing (I’m a Dad so I know how we dance!), a bloody brilliant band, a scientific gin bar, frogs in dresses and a couple who not only were incredibly welcoming to us but also very trusting in our visions, which for a day like theirs was really important.
Thank you both, Hamish and I had the best time
