Mr and Mrs Richards Awesome Crockwell Farm Wedding
Firstly, huge congratulations guys. Secondly, thank you so much for being so kick ass on your big day, putting your trust in me and treating me like one of your guests (which is a good thing!)
Having only proposed on NYE 2016 they decided that they wanted to get married and get married quickly, giving themselves just four months to organise everything. Luckily they found a perfect date at Crockwell Farm but perhaps most importantly by a mile, I was available…joking of course (deadly serious)
Their day went without a hitch and it was a very rare occurrence for the bride to be bang on time, which Mrs Richards had already said she was going to be. Had Mrs Richards been a little later then I’m not sure Mr Richards could have stood the nerves, not that I can blame he, he was just massively excited to become a husband to his beautiful bride!
I get to meet all kinds of different people shooting weddings and I can honestly say both Mr and Mrs Richards are some of the nicest people you could ever meet.
One of the highlights of the day for me was when Mr Richards took a few moments out of his speech to thank his nan, go to her table and give the biggest hug to her as she sat there beaming from his kind words, n’awwww! The top table started to well up of course!
Shooting for these pair was a breeze, their whole family were very welcoming, the bridal party were lovely and the groomsmen were having #weddingbants throughout the day
Mr and Mrs Richards, you deserve all of the feels and all of the happiness.
These are the peeps that made their day that little bit more special;
Demi Hanlon was on hair styling duties, doing an awesome job
Candice Fuller was smashing it on makeup duties, as always, seriously, book her, she is one of the best around
DJ JBR Professional was on the decks for the evening
The Super 45s provided their entertainment for the evening, go check this band!
Laura from Crockwell did their decorations, those that have met Laura all say the same thing, she’s awesome and so organised
Miss Lilly provided her stunning floral arrangements
For the love of cakes, daventry, provided their BEST CAKE OF ALL TIME (according to Mrs Richards!)
What was completely different to what you expected?
We weren’t expecting the day to be so stress free! The whole run up to the ceremony was so relaxing and calm. I (Hannah) literally had no nerves or anything. I was just super excited about marrying my best friend and being able to celebrate with all of my amazing family and friends.
What advice would you give to future bride and grooms?
It’s your day, so enjoy it! Don’t feel guilty if you don’t get to speak to every single one of your guests for a decent amount of time. They’re having a good time watching you enjoy your special day. You have spent too much money on that DJ and/or band to not throw some shapes on that dance floor!
Do you have any cost saving ideas for future bride and grooms?
We were so lucky that we managed to get a lot of things in the sale. Wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, shoes, jewellery….it can be a bit time consuming but definitely look anywhere and everywhere. And hire decorations rather than buy them. Also have a look for suppliers that may have just started their business. We got our beautiful wedding cake for a fraction of the price and it was the most delicious cake OF ALL TIME. I still dream about it.
How did you meet?
We met when we were both at university. I went to uni with Stuart’s sister, who is also called Hannah (confusing, I know. But even more confusing now I have officially stolen her name). So I met him through her. It all started with a drunken snog in Oceana and here we are, 8 years later!
How did you/they propose?
Stuart casually dropped into conversation one day that we should think about going ring shopping in Birmingham jewellery quarter. I was thinking “…..holy sh** he’s FINALLY got the hint” (after hinting for about a billion years). We were able to pick the perfect ring together, which was just amazing, as if he had to choose it himself it would have turned out to be awful considering the rings he kept picking out! He then officially proposed on New Years Eve 2016 at Center Parcs during a holiday with both of our families there.
