Pre wedding photos, are they worth it?
The main motive behind having a pre wedding photo shoot with your wedding photographer seems to be ‘It will help me relax in front of the camera, ready for my wedding day.’ Now this is a perfectly valid reason and I completely understand why my clients sometimes say this, but they’re missing something, they’re not thinking about how they’ll feel on their wedding day, they have no idea that my approach is as laid-back as you can get and mostly they’re over looking the opportunities to have with a pre-wedding shoot.
It’s all about you and your life before marriage
You can’t wait to be a wife or husband right? Well in a decade or so time you’ll probably want to look back to your life before marriage, you’ll want to remember the times that you’re enjoying right now. I’m not saying that you won’t have marriage bliss, I’m saying that you’ll grow old and miss how hot you both were, I’m joking…kind of!
I blooming love shooting pre wedding sessions, they’re so much fun. There’s no set location, no super strict timeline, no wedding you desperately want to get back to and there is no limit for creativity. When I ask my clients about their pre wedding shoots I ask them where they want to go and I’ll inspire the shoot from there. You walk your dogs round a certain forest every weekend? Perfect, lets tell a story around that. Your kids love going on trains, amazing let’s tell that story.
We can tell the story of your life as it is now, away from the perfection of your wedding day and into what makes your relationship unique
