Tash & Josh’s wedding at East Mersea Hall was truly a day to remember. With an outdoor ceremony, a stunning trip to the coast, and a fusion of British and Australian traditions, their day was a true reflection of who they are as a couple.
A Morning Full of Excitement & Happy Tears
The morning began at home, where Tash and her bridal party got ready in a whirlwind of laughter, hairspray, and plenty of happy tears. As the final touches were made, emotions ran high when she stepped into her wedding dress—a moment that had everyone reaching for tissues.
With the excitement building, the bridal party made their way to East Mersea Hall in a camper van, setting the tone for a relaxed, fun-filled day.
A Dreamy Outdoor Ceremony
Set against the stunning grounds of East Mersea Hall, Tash & Josh exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremonysurrounded by friends and family. One of the most touching moments was a heartfelt reading from a friend, adding a personal touch that made the ceremony even more special.
As newlyweds, they walked back up the aisle to cheers and applause, ready to celebrate the rest of the day.
Seaside Romance & Lawn Games
Before joining their guests for the drinks reception, Tash & Josh took a detour to the coastline for some beautiful, windswept portraits. The sea breeze and golden sunlight created a breathtaking backdrop, making for some of the most romantic moments of the day.
Back at the venue, guests enjoyed a relaxed drinks reception with lawn games, laughter, and plenty of clinking glasses.
Emotional Speeches & A Special Birthday Surprise
The wedding breakfast was filled with heartfelt speeches, as loved ones shared stories and toasts to the couple. The room was filled with emotion, but the real surprise came just after—a birthday cake and a singalong for the bride’s grandad! The moment was full of warmth and love, showing just how much family meant to them.
Australian Traditions & A Romantic Boat Ride
As the evening celebrations began, it was time to introduce the British guests to some Aussie wedding games.
First up was ‘Thongy’, where guests drank from a sandal—a hilarious and chaotic tradition that had everyone in stitches. Next, they tested their aim by throwing sandals at targets, bringing out everyone’s competitive side.
As the sun started to set, Tash & Josh took a quiet moment together on a boat on the venue’s lake—just the two of them, soaking in the magic of the day before the party kicked off.
Cèilidh Dancing into the Night
For the evening, they chose a Cèilidh band, and as soon as the music started, the dance floor was alive with energy. Guests of all ages joined in, twirling and laughing their way through the traditional dances, making it the perfect way to round off a truly special day.
